The Booster Club is made up of parents and support volunteers of the Energizers, Junior Energy and Energy Dance Teams.

The Booster Club was started in 2005 as a way to help off-set the cost of uniforms and travel expenses for competitions and performances.

Fundraisers set up by the Booster Club include:

• Car Washes
• Can Shakes
• Pancake Breakfasts
• Bake Sales at Major Performances

Currently the Booster Club officers positions are held by:

Linda Wallace, Senior Treasurer

Linda has been affiliated with the Center For Creative Education since 2002. She is also currently a CCE Board member and an active member of The Percussion Orchestra of Kingston, (P.O.O.K.). After witnessing her first hip-hop dance class, she was hooked and wanted to be affiliated with the organization. Linda was the editor of the former U-Fit News and hopes to create a new and improved monthly newsletter. She has also been instrumental in the success of many of the Booster Club fund raisers.

Kimberly Cortez, Senior Volunteer

Kimberly has been involved with C.C.E. since 2004. Kim remains overwhelmed by the dedication and talent of the children as well as the interaction and inspirational relationships between the children and the staff. She volunteers her time and energy coordinating and participating in fundraising activities, social events and performances.

Meridith Robb, Secretary

Meridith started by way of the persistent urging of her daughter, Gabriela. Through an after school progran taught by Drew at the Edson Elementary school, Gabriela became hooked on hip-hop. 4 years later, they were both hooked. Meridith is an active member of CCE’s adult dancers, P.O.O.K. and also attends Latin dance class at the studio. She has been involved in planning and facilitating social, fundraising and performance events.

Jess Davis, J.E. Energy Treasurer

Jess has been an active parent for 4 years and enjoys watching both of her daughters who are involved in the program. Jess has been instrumental in the development of the Booster Club, bringing in years of experience from her previous involvements. With her excellent organizational skills and ties with the community, Jess has been a driving force in all fundraising events.

Victor Melendez, Public Relations Coordinator

Victor is currently the Booster Club’s P.R. Coordinator. He is also the organization’s Latin Dance Instructor. Victor has been dancing various styles of dance for over 15 years. His professional expertise combined with his extended dance background, makes him a large asset to the organization.

Kelly Hammerling, Energizer Treasurer

Kelly became involved with C.C.E. in 2003 when her daughter, Alli joined the Energizers. Kelly has been in the dance industry for years, not only dancing and teaching, but also managing two of her own dance wear stores. Kelly’s business sense and dance background have been invaluable to the Booster Club.
